David L. Caruso is a playwright and dramaturge from Minneapolis. His plays include THROUGH HIKE (Semifinalist, Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference 2020, Finalist, International Thomas Wolfe Playwriting Competition), and BILL & STEPHANIE (High Honors, Wesleyan University Department of English). His work has been presented by Company One Theatre in Boston, and workshopped at Boston Playwrights' Theatre. His dramaturgy credits include FIRST LOVE (Cherry Lane Theatre, NY) and ABOVE THE NOISE (Dixon Place, NY), among others. He was an inaugural member of the Makers Lab @ TBK in Fairbanks, Alaska in 2018. His essay “Attending to (Our) Ghosts: Lola Arias’ Minefield” was published by the South Wall, the Walker Art Center’s performing arts reader. He has taught undergraduate creative writing at Boston University.
David is currently an MFA in Playwriting candidate at Boston University/Boston Playwrights' Theatre.
